About the Founder
Stephanie D. Handy, I am a mother of three and a Paralegal by profession. My inspiration to establish Sijari déWomb Co came years after having an idea, a dream, with no clear direction of how to attain it. With hope, perseverance, faith, love, and support from my closest friends and family, Sijari déWomb Co was birthed.
Shortly after giving birth to my youngest daughter in 2015, one sunny afternoon, a car sped past me with its emergency lights flashing. Instantly, I wondered what was their emergency, and if they were going to the hospital. At that moment my vision began to develop.
During my early childhood, I dreamt of being an Obstetrician only because I desired to work with newborn babies in the hospital’s nursery. Given my youthful innocence, I did not know it was the nurses who cared for the babies and not the Obstetricians. Later in life, I decided to open a daycare center. Days before opening, I experienced a potential life-threatening Pulmonary Embolism (PE). During my five-day hospital stay, and after much reflection, I vowed to embrace the blessing each day brings. Then, I pursued where my heart longed to be most, the law field.
I love spending time with my family, traveling, reading, creating aesthetically pleasing environments, engaging in stimulating conversations, and enjoying a nice southern meal.

As the founder of Sijari déWomb Co, my mission is to establish the déWombcal as a trusted, nationally recognized symbol of maternal support—synonymous with safety, care, and urgency on the road. My goal is to ensure that every expecting mother has the safest and most supported path to medical care.
Together, we can create a culture that prioritizes maternal health and empowers families across the nation.
